22/10/2012 Rodrigo Pla takes the top prize at Moscows 2-in-1 International Film Festival

Moscows 2-in-1 International Contemporary Film Festival finished on Oct. 22 with Rodrigo Plas The Delay (La Demora), a Uruguayan-Mexican-French co-production, taking the bulk of the prizes.

Moscows 2-in-1 International Contemporary Film Festival finished on Oct. 22 with Rodrigo Plas The Delay (La Demora), a Uruguayan-Mexican-French co-production, taking the bulk of the prizes. Over the four days of the festival viewers enjoyed 80 screenings, and Plas film competed with nine other films from Europe, Russia, the US and China.

The Delay won the festivals Grand Prix, selected by the judging panel of Jean-Claude Brisseau (head of jury), Slamdance Festival president Peter Baxter, director and film critic Mark Cousins and Russian director Bakhtiyar Khudoinazarov. It also won a unanimous verdict from the bloggers jury of Daria Mitina, Maxim Abrakhimov and Larisa Bortnikova.

The guest of honor at the ceremony was French singer and actress Soko, who starred in Alice Winocours Augustine, the closing film of the festival.
